June 2017: In June 2016 the 3GPP organisation published the NB-IoT standard for wireless internet of things connectivity.
Since then Neul’s technologies have been central to enabling end-to-end NB-IoT connectivity across the globe. Network operators in Europe, China and the Americas have swiftly moved from trials to commercial roll-outs and the first amongst them have announced nation-wide coverage already.

Neul’s vision is quickly becoming reality with a rich ecosystem of system integrators, technology companies, module vendors, network providers, application developers, etc., creating exciting new applications.

December 2015: Neul opens new office in Cambridge Science Park
Neul is pleased to announce the opening of its new offices at building 302 in the Cambridge Science Park. The opening of these offices will enable Neul to further improve its services to customers and cater for the ever-expanding needs of the business.

Cambridge Science Park has a long history of successful enterprises and is one of the main technology and business hubs in the area. October 2015: Huawei appoints Henk Koopmans as new CEO of Neul
Educated in the Netherlands Henk’s career has been closely entwined with the development of new technologies for cordless communications, cellular networks and digital TV.

Henk is client-focused and highly regarded as a strategic innovator, which makes him ideally suited to bring the Neul technology successfully to market and make Huawei the partner of choice for IoT solutions.
Henk’s previous roles include VP Sales & Marketing of technology consultancy Symbionics, Head of Strategic Investments at the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) and Chief Marketing Officer at Plextek Ltd.

September 2014: Neul acquired by Huawei

September 2014: Neul was acquired by Huawei and becomes a wholly owned subsidiary. Neul and Huawei are jointly working on ground-breaking technology that enables reuse of mobile network operators assets to target ultra-low power deep coverage IoT applications.
